User Research

User research was based interviews with fellow adults gamers and the difficulties they had when purchasing gaming equipment. The biggest pain point was having the time to go out and purchase equipment at store, the stress of returns and feeling secure about about making the purchases since many online stores were not focused on gaming and those that were at a high end price point.

For this specific user story I wanted to go outside my comfort zone and relate to users with disabilities based on the design concept “Curb Cut Effect” where the design could be helpful for those with disabilities and those without.

User Profile

User Story

“As a gamer with a disability, I want to be able to order and return gaming equipment so that I can remain independent and not require assistance when purchasing game equipment, so I continue playing games with my friends ”
